  •  Hi David -

im an SA trumpet player and recently started a project in Joburg - "The Blue Notes Tribute Orkestra" , and heard about you through Gerry Platt from the UK who was visiting .. thought id pop in and say "hey" . . .

unfortunately South Africans seem to know very little about the Blue Notes and the Brotherhood - so it will be good to pick your brain from time to time (if you're not averse to having it picked that is ?!) ..

do you have an email address ?

all the best from a rainy jozi ..

  •  Hi Dave,

I caught up with with Colin Lazzerini via the wonders of the WWW and when I found out that you lived in Spain I told him that I imagined you Quixote-like challengening windmills to move from the waist down, and to dance before they played...you taught me to question a lot in life...I grew more during the Loose Tubes than at any point to date and I just want to let you know that I hold a special place in my soul for you and the others Tubes who helped me see the world in a different way...Love and joy,

Steve Day (ex-trombonist!....always a "Loose Tube") XXX

  •  Hi Dave

Came across your site - remember me, the piano player friend of Ernest Mothle, and the one who worked with George Lee in the 80's?

    I always enjoyed your playing!

    Regards

    Robert
